In the winter of 2018, at just 24 years old, Nabeel Balagam made the kind of bet most people talk about but never take. He walked away from a career where he'd risen from top salesman to Lead Financial Services Manager at 401 Dixie Nissan — trading a proven paycheque to bet on himself, a desk, and two empty chairs. No investors. No safety net. Just conviction and an obsessive will to build.

What followed wasn't glamorous. It was 100 cold calls a day. 100 cold emails a night. Countless LinkedIn follow-ups. Rejected warehouse walk-ins where the door closed before the pitch started. He heard "no" more times than most people hear "good morning" — and he kept showing up.

Until one LinkedIn response changed everything.

That single reply turned a cold outreach into a conversation, a conversation into a contract, and a contract into a company that couldn't be stopped.

Within 18 months, he bootstrapped Canada Courier Systems (CanCS) into a double-digit million dollar revenue business — growing it into a 200+ cargo asset operation with over 500 employees, doing business with Amazon, Purolator, Canada Post, and many other major names across Canada and into the United States. What started in a small office in Mississauga became a final-mile courier enterprise, completing over 10 million deliveries successfully in 2025. That's not a fundraising story. That's a founder who refused to lose.

Before founding CanCS, Nabeel sharpened his edge across the United States, Alberta, and Ontario — learning to sell, negotiate, and operate in high-pressure, commission-driven environments. That frontline grit became the operating DNA of everything Bravus Global builds today.

He's also a direct descendant of the founder of Dalda — one of the most iconic cooking oil brands in South Asian history — and that multigenerational entrepreneurial instinct runs deep. It's the thread connecting PureBlend, his private label cooking oil brand, to a legacy that spans continents and generations.

Today, Nabeel leads Bravus Global as a diversified holding company with six operating businesses. He's actively expanding into private equity and angel investing — acquiring service businesses tied to government contracts and Canada's growing defence sector. Every company under the Bravus umbrella was bootstrapped, not bankrolled.
